Woolwich attack witness Ingrid Loyau-Kennett: 'I feel like a fraud'
Ingrid Loyau-Kennett now called one of the 'Woolwich
Angels', a nickname she rejects herself as a religious woman, received her
nickname after talking to the two men who killed Drummer Lee Righby last
Wednesday. Because she struck up conversation she managed to delay the men
until the police got there to arrest the two. When her bus stopped near the
crime scene she got out to see if she could be of any help and in stead of
running or negotiating she simply talked to them calmly until they could be
arrested. Her actions are universally praised, even though she says it’s
something anyone should and could have done.
My opinion:
Bless this woman; I’m glad there are people like this
left in this world. While the rest of the onlookers were filming the scene of
the crime with their camera phones, it was reported that about sixty/seventy
people were watching at this time, this woman comes out of the bus to see if
there’s anything she can do to help. When she’s confronted by a guy with bloody
hands, holding knifes and a gun, she doesn’t run or hide she just stays and
delays him until the police arrive. It disgusts me that people film these
monstrosities and that only three people out of over sixty turn up to help.

I agree with you that it's ridiculous that there were so many people who just stood there doing nothing and I think it's very brave what this woman did. On the other hand, I don't know what I would've done if I were there at that time. I don't think I'd have the guts to just calmly talk to the guy still holding a blooded knife with which he just butchered a soldier. Of course we have to be really grateful that this woman did dare to take the risk; but I wouldn't have done it.
