Paris Brown: Kent Tweet row girl interviewed by police
Paris Brown, a
17-year-old girl, who had been chosen for a position as a Kent youth Police and
Crime Commissioner officially announced her resignation after being
investigated for inappropriate tweets, which could be considered racist and
homophobic and included violent content. The police and a Special Branch
officer have investigated her for tweets and posts on her Facebook that
apparently boasted about drug abuse, sex and drinking. Her account has since
been removed. Paris Brown was supposed to start her position next year and was
appointed in the beginning of April to represent young people across the UK.
My opinion:
Firstly if you
hire a young girl (at the time 16) for a position that pays 15,000 a year and
if you’re going to let her become a role model for young people all over the
country, wouldn’t you check her Facebook account? At a job interview for a
supermarket they check your accounts online, so why not for a job this big?
Secondly, if you’re hired for a position that pays 15,000 a year and if you’re
going to become a role model for young people all over the country wouldn’t you
delete your inappropriate tweets and wall posts? This is an issue that’s so
easily avoided and if I'm honest it makes both parties involved look pretty stupid.

I do agree with Suzanne Lemmen, because miss Paris Brown would have been responsible for the youth in the UK. Also she would have been a role model, and as a role model you must not have a recorded history of drugs and alcohol abuse, or violent, racist or homophobic posts on Facebook.
